Providence Health & Services Athletic Trainer in Polson, Montana
Providence is calling an Athletic Trainer (Physical Therapy Dept, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Montana. In this position you will:
Implement and supervise the physical exercise program in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation unit.
Assist with implementation and organization of the employee wellness and prevention program.
Evaluate patients/residents based on clinical diagnosis and health data to determine treatment and frequency needs.
Evaluates athletes and initiates appropriate treatment using accepted techniques in the school(s) setting.
Communicate frequently and advise coaches, athletes, and parents about athlete’s injury, care, scheduling, treatment plans, progress, and participation status.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to adjust daily schedule to meet service area demands and cover special events as requested.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent degree
Current Athletic Trainer license through the State of Montana
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Current Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- Two years experience working in a school/college environment as an athletic trainer
