Providence Health & Services Cook - Lead in Polson, Montana
Providence is calling a Lead Cook (SJ AL Dietary, Evening Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
In this position you will:
Participate in ordering, inventory and quality control of food products.
Handle and prepare food in accordance with standards of quality preparation and portion control using standardized recipes.
Cook, bake, do prep work or make salads.
Assist in production of catering functions.
Assist with employee-related matters in absence of manager.
Required qualifications for this position include:
High School diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED)
Necessary technical skills required to maintain high standards of food preparation
Minimum of three years experience in high-quantity food preparation and completion of some cooking classes with formal on-the-job training
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Proficiency in basic math skills
Culinary Arts certificate
Experience in supervisory role
Current Food Handlers card
