Providence Health & Services Cook in Polson, Montana
Providence is calling a Cook (0.6 FTE - 24 hours per week, Day Shifts) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
The schedule for this position could be one of the following shifts:
Dishwasher - 10:30AM - 6:00PM
Patient Cook - 9:30AM - 6:00PM
Weekend Cook - 10:00AM - 6:30PM
In this position you will:
Handle and prepare food in accordance with sanitation regulations, infection control policies, maintain high standards of quality preparation and portion control using standardized recipes and in appropriate quantities to meet menu requirements.
Adapt and sustain a culture of continuous improvement.
Cook, bake, do prep work or make salads, as assigned.
Maintain professional, courteous relationships with all staff.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English
One (1) year of experience in quantity food preparation and completion of some cooking classes with formal on-the-job training
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
