Providence Pharmacy Technician in Polson, Montana
Providence is calling a Pharmacy Technician (Pharmacy, Day Shift, 0.6 FTE) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson or Missoula, Montana. We are a community of caregivers delivering every day on our Mission to provide compassionate care that is accessible for all – especially those who are poor and vulnerable.
Position can be located in either Polson or Missoula, Montana
In this position you will:
Deliver daily patient medication exchange boxes to nursing stations.
Prepare outpatient prescriptions.
Prepare unit dose packages.
Refill patient medication exchange drawers using computer system fill lists.
Position will require occasional travel to other Montana locations.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Individual technicians are not required to be certified.
Successful completion of CPTB and certification to be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
Accuracy, attention to detail, speed in filing, charge/credit function, pick-and-distribute and computer skills required.
Must also have good math and communication skills.
Required to have a clear understanding of medication names and medical terminology.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Completed certified training program
Previous experience in a related field.
