Providence Health & Services Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic in Polson, Montana
Providence is calling a Radiologic Technologist - Diagnostic (Imaging Services, Variable Shift, 1.0 FTE) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Montana. In this position you will:
Conducts clinical evaluations and testing according to departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Demonstrates accuracy in administration and documentation of all treatments and procedures.
Demonstrates the ability to take emergency action as required on patients.
Establishes, implements and modifies treatment plans and completes documentation in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
Follows age specific directions from physician when administering contrast to patients.
Is able to demonstrate appropriate application of age specific guidelines in assessing patients.
Performs CT procedures on patients.
Performs Mammograms on patients.
Performs preparations for daily procedures.
Performs X-Ray procedures on patients.
Provides and monitors care to determine the appropriate outcomes.
Provides appropriate patient care and clinical information for continuing care based on the patient’s needs as needed from time of admission to time of discharge.
Provides appropriate patient care and clinical information to other healthcare professionals for continuing care.
Uses age specific guidelines to explain procedures to patients or family members.
Uses age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines to perform treatments and procedures that are routine for unit/clinic on patients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Graduate of approved school of Radiologic Technology
Current Radiologic Technologist certification in Montana (MSRT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Knowledge of radiology procedures, equipment, surface and visceral anatomy, and medical terminology
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration
Recent Radiographic experience
