Providence Health & Services Speech Language Pathologist in Polson, Montana
Providence is calling a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) (Physical Therapy Dept, Day Shift, 0.5 FTE) to Providence St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson, Montana. In this position you will:
In accordance with physician request, provide initial evaluation and recommend appropriate treatment plan.
Partner with fellow care providers to provide therapy for the recovery or improvement of patient’s speech or swallowing function.
Provide education to patient and family regarding the therapy and maintenance of the speech or swallowing disorder.
Utilize software systems for the maintenance of patient records and communication with team members.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Education to qualify for Speech Pathology licensure
Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure in the state of Montana
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care/rehabilitation setting, hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical field
